How to turn a china cabinet into a buffet or tv console
This is a new favorite project
of mine that I have been doing alot lately. I will find a china cabinet, which are not as popular as they once were,
and take the top off. First thing to do is look at the back. Sometimes you can see that the back is actually two seperate
pieces. That is what you want. Sometimes the china cabinet is actually two pieces. Some where made this way so they could
be moved easily. If they don't seperate easily, take the top drawers out of the buffet to check if the top has just been screwed
in. This is true in most cases. Then you can just unscrew it and patch the holes. The cabinet in the pictures below was actually
nailed together. It took a little work to get the top off the bottom but it did not leave much damage once it was seperated.
